Term 2 Prefect Training and Investiture (latest updates)
This is the schedule for Term 2 Prefect Training.
T2Wk1: Prefects Training- Introduction to Leadership 1 (23 Mar 2010)

P5 and new prefects are to attend prefects training - Introduction to Leadership 1 and 2 held in 23 March and 30 March 2010.

Nanyang Sparks 2010 "We welcome you, Mrs Lee"
I am looking for 5 prefects to review the Nanyang Sparks 2010. CIP hours will be given. The review will be done this coming Tuesday (30 Mar) from 4.00pm to 5.00pm after the prefect training. If you are interested, please let Ms Peh know by 29 March.

I would like to thank all prefects who have given your comments. I have tried to assign duty according to your preference. However, I have met with many difficulties.
Firstly, announcer prefects are selected based on Teachers' recommendation. It is not possible to include more names. For prefects who have shown interest to be an announcer prefect, I have nominated you for the a new programme "NYPS student ambassadors". Ms Chua Hock Yen will be the teacher-in-charge.
Secondly, it is not possible to include more names for the relief time tabling team. Teachers-in-charge of time tabling wanted 5 pupils per week. We have more than 5 prefects per week.
Lastly, although different people are assigned different duties, every duty is equally important. For example, prefects at the zebra-crossing have to repeatedly saying "Please raise your cross the road. But their role is important because many accidents are prevented with their constant reminders. As prefects, you are school leaders who are called to SERVE.
This is the confirmed list. All new prefects please gather at your respective area by 7.00am on 22 Mar or 29 Mar 2010. I will go round to introduce you to your friends doing the same duty.

Description:
-Report for duty at 6.50am
- Between 6.50 - 7.35 am, line-up along the pavement and gesture to parents or pupils in the cars to alight quickly, to help ease traffic congestion.
-At 7.25 when the signal music ends, stop pupils from moving to the assembly areas. They are to stand under the shelter, put their bags on the ground and get ready for the flag-raising ceremony.

Term 2: Prefect Meeting and Training
Dear prefect,
The prefectorial board will not have any meeting in Term 1.
We will meet in Term 2 for Prefect Investiture and Prefect Training.
This is the schedule for Term 2.
Training

Investiture

T2Wk4: Prefect Investiture or Rehearsal* tentative date
T2Wk5: Prefect Investiture * tentative date
We can only confirm the date of Prefect Investiture in Term 2. Rehearsal will be held on Wednesdays. All prefects are to attend the rehearsals and Investiture. Hence, please keep your Wednesday free.
